Skincare
Your skin is the largest organ of your body. Just like you take care of your body to prep for stage, how you treat your skin and what you do for it prior to show day, will help so much with getting a flawless base for the makeup application. I recommend developing a skin care regimen specifically made for your skin type prior to show day, as this will help with the skins elasticity as your body becomes dryer as show day is approaching.
Have a clean face
For your show day, it's best to come with a clean face. Wash and gentle exfoliation with moisturizer will leave the canvas nice and smooth, ready for makeup application.
No Tan on Face
Competitors, please do not tan your face. Getting spray tan on your face can lead to a blotchy appearance due to the makeup adhering to dry patches on the skin. It will also affect the appearance of the foundation and concealer, developing a greyish/olive type undertone that can look mud like on the skin, altering the actual color of the foundation itself. Getting spray tanned up to the neck, is recommended.
Facial Grooming
Please remove any unwanted facial hair and have eyebrows groomed. Threading is recommended. Waxing may be a little harsh on the skin. If you do get waxed, I would suggest a warm wax, not hot, about 2 weeks prior to show day as the skin is thin due to dieting.
Lashes
Suggestion for lash extensions, is to not get a fresh set before show day, unless you are ok with having lashes placed on top of them and mascara. The lashes really transform the entire makeup look.
